Perfect Paige Leggings + Plum Lips

Jean Leggings: Paige (you need these, trust me) // Top: Ro & De via Nordstrom Rack (similar, splurge) // Heels: Dolce Vita // Bow Necklace: Urbanite // Bangles: JamesandJoco // Earrings: Tory Burch // Wristlet: Louis Vuitton // Lips: Forever21 Sugarplum Lipstick

In the many hours I've spend in our new Nordstrom Rack store in Greenville, I have lusted over many things, but these jeans are by far my favorite find.  The are soft and flexible like leggings, but have pockets and a zipper so you can wear them with short tops too.  My next rant will focus on this fabulous and very cost efficient lip color for fall.  I love deep toned lips during fall and this color is the perfect merriment between dark and tasteful berry tones. Don't be afraid to be bold with your lip color, it is the perfect finishing touch to any outfit.

Sweatshirt Chic

Top: Saks off 5th (similar) // Jeans: JCrew // Wedges: Kelsi Dagger (similar, similar) // Jacket: JCrew (similar) // Scarf: H&M (under $10!!!) // Watch: MK // Bracelets: Tory Burch-old (similar), Stella &Dot // Handbag: Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM

This comfy sweatshirt top can be worn on the couch paired with cotton pants for a night in or be worn with jeans, wedges and a military jacket for a casual chic fall look.  Obviously, I chose the latter of the two for this post, but don't be mistaken; this sweatshirt will make many appearances on a lazy sunday afternoon in my house! My Fall Local Favorites post gave me Skytop fever so my sweet husband and I decided to spend this perfect fall day in the most beautiful mountains among apple trees.  Fall weekend getaways are the best!

I had to share a picture of my husband and I from this perfect day! He is the man behind the camera, supporting my dreams, and my forever motivation to be beautiful inside and out.

Functional Fashion

Tunic: H&M (loving this one too) // Leggings: Via Spiga // Shawl: TJMaxx (similar) // Boots: old (similar here & here) // Bangles: Jamesandjoco (craving) // Watch: MK (on sale) (craving) // Necklaces: Urbanite (craving), H&M // Earrings: Tory Burch //

This week we went to visit friends who live out in the country on their family owned peach farm, dreamworld right?! I literally took these pictures in their back yard.  There were deer running nearby, mountains in the distance, and rows of peach trees just like this one.  I am definitely a city girl, but I love spending time away from it all sometimes. I can't wait to go back in the spring, and see when the trees are full of pink blooms!  This outfit is pretty much my fall uniform - Leggings, my favorite boots, and the perfect tunic. The shawl was a recent find at TJMaxx and will definitely be reoccurring throughout the cold weather months! I'm not always known for my fashion being functional, but I felt like I encompassed both for a casual, chilly night in the country.

Fall Local Favorites

After 3 rainy days inside, cabin fever is starting to set in.  In my stir crazy state of mind I have been dreaming of all the amazing local things I could be doing, if the weather permitted.  It's no secret I love Greenville and I wanted to share with y'all some of my favorite things to do in and around the city, especially during fall.

This place is like fall perfection. It has definitely gotten busier over the years but that just goes to show how great of a place it is.  Once you go, it becomes a yearly tradition.  You can pick apples, picnic looking over the mountains, go on a hayride, eat their delicious homemade spiced apple donuts, or sip on their homemade cider (they even make an apple cider slushy) This is a place where you can go as a family or as a fun date day as a couple.  My husband and I go each year and have ever since we shot some of our engagement photos here over 4 years ago! Here are a few of my favorites:

Photography by: Christine LeGrand (the best in Greenville and beyond)

This park has the hometown feel Greenville is known for and the kind of view other cities only dream of having in the heart of their downtown.  The picture says it all.  We have the best city park, hands down, if you don't believe me - just ask tripadvisor...it was named #10 in the top 25 parks in the nation!

As perfectly homey and rustic as the atmosphere is, once you taste the food aesthetics are simply the icing on the cake or the more appropriate saying at Southern Culture would be the meringue on the banana pudding.  The lead chef here isn't nicknamed Dr. Puddin for nothing.  This place is a favorite surpassing any boundaries seasons could limit. Winter, spring, summer, and fall you are likely to find me here indulging, in my opinion, the best food Greenville has to offer!

Caesars Head lookout is one of my favorite lookouts I've ever come across and just so happens to be the site where my sweet husband proposed to me.  It is a perfect place for any occasion but will forever be one of my favorite places near Greenville to go, especially come fall when the leaves are like art.

Pretty place is another of my favorite places near Greenville.  It is the perfect place to come in the fall and simply take in all the beauty the smokey mountains have to offer.  There is a platform in front of the cross that makes for the perfect setting for a picnic lunch with dreamy views.

If you decide to take my advice and visit Caesars Head and Pretty Place, it is a short drive the the quaint yet elegant Victoria Valley Vineyard.  The small cafe offers great food and you can purchase a bottle of wine to pair with your entree.  The terrace overlooking the vineyard is the perfect setting to indulge in your food and wine, all while taking in the views of the smokey mountains.

Now you see why I love my city so much!? No wonder the city's marketing slogan is "yeah, that Greenville"!

Happy touring Greenville, y'all!

Leggings + Lace Accents

Top: Pure Sugar via Piperlime{old} (similar, love) // Leggings: J.Crew (craving) // Heels: Christian Louboutin (save) // Clutch: Saks off 5th // Wrist: MK, Stella & Dot, Kate Spade // Necklace: Urbanite // Earrings: Tory Burch

As much as I appreciate the warmer days in the south, I'm just plain ready for fall weather to be consistent! Leggings are one of my favorite things to wear when cold weather comes around.  They are comfortable yet can be dressed up like I did with this look.  Since it was too warm to pair these with booties and a long sleeve blouse like I had initially wanted to wear, I paired it with this colorful lace accented top.  Y'all know I love a good accent on a piece of clothing. I'm looking forward to styling these leggings again once colder weather finally rolls around!

tailgate trends

tailgate trends

tailgate trends by southernaccentsblog featuring wedge sole boots

One of the things my family looks forward to each fall is putting on the perfect tailgate at Clemson football games.  I always look forward to the quality time spent together, amazing (yet terrible for you) tailgate food, and my favorite - the perfect tailgate outfit! Tailgating in the south is truly an event that those who haven't experienced would never understand. I am among many who love to dress for the event. The tricky part is making sure you are stylish yet practical.  These picks are all perfectly fashionable and practical to be social at tailgate and walk to the game! Trust me, I've learned my lesson the hard way with impractical tailgate shoes and fashion!

Happy shopping and tailgating y'all!

places to go

Top: Pure Sugar via piperlime (similarsimilar) // Jeans: Old Navy (also craving these) // Heels: Christian Louboutin // Watch: MK // Bracelets: Stella and Dot, Kate Spade // Earrings: Tory Burch

I wore this look for a fun thursday night full of places to go.  We attended the nordtrom rack opening in town as well as 'fashion on the town. As if Greenville needed more ways to steal my heart, they now host fabulous fashion events!  Both events focused around fashion which meant the pressure was on for the perfect outfit!  I knew I wanted something trendy, yet classic.  What is more classic than black, gold, red lips, and patent heels?! The cut of this top is trendy despite the fact that I got it over a year ago on piperlime! This ended up being the perfect outfit for both events.   Even if I did turn my closet upside down finding it! :)
