I have to confess that this outfit was totally inspired by the newest addition to my closet - Christian Louboutin pumps!!! My sweet, thoughtful husband who loves me well took the 3 year anniversary traditional gift of "leather" and upped the ante! Obviously, I needed the perfect outfit to accentuate the trademark red bottoms on my heels! This dress had the perfect amount of color to do just that and the red lip brought it all together!

I got this skirt a couple years ago at anthropologie and it has never gone out of style.  The high waisted skirt is here to stay and I love it! The top I paired this with is not only comfortable and trendy, but it is totally affordable! I officially want it in every color! As many skirts and shorts as I own, a basic trendy tank in every color is a necessity. Don't you love affordable & practical pieces for everyday wear?

Another thing I have to note is how much I love a braided bun lately! It was the perfect accent to this outfit and takes mere minutes to do! If your hair is full and thick (unlike mine) this tutorial is what yours will look more like!

I got this dress from piperlime a few years back and it continues to be one of my favorite go to summer dresses.  Tie waist dresses are so flattering and given the right accents, can be dressed up or down.  I love how lightweight the fabric is - perfect for these 90 degree days we've been enduring lately! I also want to mention one of my favorite hair accessories, the sock bun insert.  I got mine from H&M and you can too here! I love wearing my hair in a high bun on hot days to keep my hair off of my neck. The insert makes it so easy because the material grips your hair so well! It also comes in different colors to match your hair so it won't show through!

I adore everything about vintage fashion. This look was my attempt to emulate classic vintage glamour with a modern twist.  This dress, believe it or not, is a beautifully beaded knit material. Everyone knows you can't attempt vintage glamour without the perfect red statement lip - I went with fiery red by Forever 21.  I also have to mention that my sweet husband who takes all the amazing pictures I post, insisted that his watch would complete this look! He may have an eye for fashion after all!

I have been dreading the day crop tops would come back, mainly because I have never had the waistline for them! When I found this lovely lace crop, I had to find a way to make it work! Then I remembered that high waisted shorts are my new favorite and would be perfect to fall right in line with the crop! Not only are these shorts adorable with the fun bow accent, but they are light weight and comfortable too! Perfect hot summer day outfit!

I take advantage of any excuse to get dressed up and my sweet husband loves to surprise me with "dressy date nights".  Not only do I love the time spent with this man who loves me so well, I also love the excitement of pulling the fun dressy clothes out of the back of my closet that I never have the excuse to wear otherwise! 

I fell in love with this dress not only because of the gorgeous style and pattern, but the sequins add the perfect finishing touch to round out the overall glamorous look of the dress.  The look wouldn't have been complete without a statement lip and for less than $4, its the perfect addition to your lipstick collection!

Once I overcame my fear of rompers, the next natural step was finding the perfect jumpsuit! I am so excited about the topshop line at nordstrom and I knew the minute I saw this jumpsuit, I had to have it! Not only is it reasonable price wise, but it is a blank canvas as far as options to accent with the perfect accessories! This jumpsuit can be dressed up or down and is the perfect way to add high fashion to your wardrobe at a reasonable price!

I love using bright colors to brighten a cloudy/rainy day.  This outfit was the perfect combination of pastels and neutrals.  I have come to adore colorful tops with open backs that are both comfortable and flirty!
