It's all about the heels

Top: Fabrik (similar) // Pants: Beja Flor (still on sale!) // Heels: Dolce Vita (craving) // Handbag: Gift (similar) // Arm candy: MK, Jamesandjoco, Kate Spade // Necklace: Jcrew // Sunglasses: Nordstrom (splurge

As much as I love all the pieces I'm wearing in this post, my favorite is by far these gorgeous heels!  It's truly all about the heels as far as I'm concerned. You can have a beautiful outfit, but if the heels aren't right - it's all for nothing! It may have to do with my obsession with shoes, but everyone knows that shoes can make or break an outfit. I found these beauties at Saks off 5th and couldn't get to the check out with them fast enough. This is just one of many outfits these heels will make pop!
Lastly, don't forget to get these Beja Flor pants while they're on sale! They are as comfortable as they are flattering!

Monday Dressed

Kimono: Monday Dress (similar) // Tank: Target-old (similar) // Pants: Beja Flor (on sale!) // Wedges: Jack Rogers (similar) // Earrings: Monday Dress (craving) // Watch: MK // Bracelets: Bella Jack via Tjmaxx (similar), Gift (similar)

When I found a new online boutique, Monday Dress, I couldn't wait to share it with y'all! Not only is it based out of my hometown, but it has the most adorable selection of clothes, shoes, and jewelry. If you are wondering, like I was, it is named Monday Dress because they update all of their new arrivals each Monday. Just what I need to help remedy the Monday blues I often suffer from!
I've been looking for the perfect kimono to add to my closet and when I saw this one, it was love at first sight! The color is gorgeous and the chevron accent at the opening is the perfect finishing touch. The earrings are also from Monday Dress and I'm excited to wear these again and again! I love how versatile they are.
Don't miss the sale on these amazing beja flor jeans. Great fitting white pants are hard to find, so let me make it easy on you - buy these! You won't regret it!

Downtown Date Night

Top: Vince Camuto (craving) // Skirt: C&C California (craving) // Heels: French Connection // Necklace: h&m-old (similar) // Earrings: Tory Burch (craving) // Bow Bracelet: Urbanite (craving) // Watch: MK // Bracelet: Stella & Dot // Wristlet: Louis Vuitton

I first of all have to brag on my amazing hometown city. Greenville has appeared on numerous 'Top Ten Downtowns' in the US and is believed to be the newest 'foodie' town in the southeast!  We have the privilege of living less than 2 miles from downtown so you can imagine how often we spend time there! Downtown date nights are a regular occurrence for us. When a friend told us about this mural of Greenville, we had to check it out.  It features so many of the sights we love in Greenville including the loft building that we lived in when we were first married! It was a perfect backdrop for this outfit that I wore for one of our date night adventures downtown.
Onto the outfit details - I absolutely adore my new Urbanite bow bracelet and loved pairing it with an edgy outfit! Who doesn't love a fun feminine accent? Last thing I want to mention are these shoes I found on sale last week! Not only are they gorgeous, but they are unbelievably comfortable!
Below is a picture of the entire wall featured in this post.  Next time you're looking for a weekend getaway, Greenville is the perfect destination!

Top 5

One of my favorite things to do with friends and family after an event, weekend away, or vacation is to ask everyone their top 5 best moments from the time together! Its always a great way to recap things you may have missed or recall things you loved as well! I thought it would be great to do on the blog every once in a while so y'all could catch up and reminisce along with me!  I linked each post next to the number so that you could get all the details from the outfit in case you missed it the first time around! The following is my Top 5 since starting this fun fashion adventure Southern Accents Blog has taken me on!

My favorite part of this outfit was definitely the gorgeous purse that was being styled for my first giveaway!

This was my first attempt at a jumpsuit and gave me the confidence I needed to take more fashion risks and embrace trends that I may not have had the guts to wear!

This was the day my precious husband gave me my beloved Christian Louboutin pumps for our anniversary.  Of course I had to create a post for them that day! They have made frequent appearances on the blog ever since (can you blame me?!)

This was an outfit from an amazing day of memories with friends! I love the outfit as much as I love the memories from the day! Sailing in the charleston harbor, adorable boutique hotel, memories with the best of friends/family, & a great outfit to blog about...doesn't get much better than that!

This was my second eye makeup tutorial and I absolutely loved how it turned out! I have gotten the sweetest feedback from my beauty posts! I love that I have one place to share my love of fashion and beauty - the best of both worlds!

This concludes my top 5 for now! I hope y'all have enjoyed looking back as much as I did!
Have your friends and family share their top 5 memories the next time you get together - I promise you won't regret it!

Happy shopping & reminiscing y'all!

black & white cutout romper

Romper: Fiore Boutique (similar, craving) Heels: Jessica Simpson Handbag: Michael Kors (loving this similar look in Gold, craving) Watch: MK Bracelets: gift (similar, craving) Earrings: Kate Spade (craving) Sunglasses: Nordstrom (similar)

This is yet another romper that has captured my heart! I had a friend ask me on one of my facebook posts about recommendations for tailored styled pieces - I have been obsessed with tailored cut fashion ever since!  As much as I love the tailored classic cut of this romper, I mutually appreciate the trendy cutouts it is paired with! Who doesn't love a trendy - classical mash up!?!

White Hot

White Hot

Now that we are in the dead of summer, and I have a tan (spray than, that is) - I find myself leaning toward everything white in my closet! I wanted to put together a collage of all the "white hot" items I'm craving!

smoldering smokey eye tutorial

What you'll need:
3. Ulta Liquid Eyeliner ( on major sale!)
First, start with a clean palette and apply the urban decay eyeshadow primer

Next, use "sidecar" and cover lid and just above crease to create a shimmery darker colored lid as the base

Use "hustle" and fill in the area under the crease in your eyelid

Use "hustle" again under bottom lashes at the lash line to create the 'smoldering look'

Next, use "creep" and apply like less than & greater than symbols ( <  > ) in the outer portion of the eyelids reaching slightly outside of the browline.

Use "hustle" to lighten the inner corners of both eyes, creating contour and dramatic contrast

Use your smashbox limitless eyeliner under eyelashes creating a bold line under eyes still leaving the smoldering "hustle" eyeshadow visible below

Now, it's time to apply your lashes.  Remember to focus on applying the corners and the middle will fall into place easily after

Notice the dramatic difference the lashes make from the right eye to the left!

Lastly, apply ulta liquid eyeliner to even the existing line created by the false lashes and mascara to complete the look

Here is the final look! Dramatic yet surprisingly understated for the amount of color applied!

Don't forget to check out the tailored jumpsuit post this smoldering smokey eye was created for!

Happy shopping (and beautifying) y'all!
